Quick Tip: Precise Color

Here's a super fast and easy way to get your lipstick looking as precise and perfect as possible: simply clean up edges with a q-tip.

The more intense the lip, the neater it should be. So fingers off! Instead, keep a few q-tips in your bag for touchups throughout the day or night.

New Beginnings

New beginnings. Sometimes planned, often unexpected. Either way, you better brace yourself. Only weeks after starting this blog, something happened to me that changed my life. And all of a sudden, the endless inspiration that fueled my being disappeared in an instant. Ladies, I'm sure you can relate. But the point is, it all comes back sooner or later. All it takes is something small to put the flame back in your fire, something small to raise your confidence, something small like lipstick.

During the hard times, I am inspired by legends like Elizabeth Taylor, not only because her wise words were the single reason I got out of bed after two straight weeks, but because she encouraged women to remember their beauty and self-worth. So, girls, next time you feel like you'll never smile again, pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick and pull yourself together.

Wearing: Makeup Artist Diane Kendal for M.A.C. outlined and contoured with Redd Lip Pencil, followed by an allover application of the red-orange Scarlet Ibis Lipstick (available in the Spring). To intensify, Pro Acid Orange Pigment was patted on top.
